Day 200 - Internet Marketing & Money Gym member

Since the 26th April 2008, I have been enrolled with the Money Gym Club as a Gold Member and building an Internet marketing platform for my business Internet Power Systems Ltd.

My journey has mutated over this past 7 months and I guess this can be split into seven distinct phases

1.  Desire to understand Internet Marketing and what it was all about
2.  Understanding how Internet Marketing could be applied to what we do
3.  Adopting an Internet Marketing strategy for our business and aligning
     our offering with it. 

This has led to identifying a new Mission statement and developing 7 core competencies that we can offer as services to our clients

4.  Developing an Internet marketing platform for our future which includes :-

Identify our Brands

• Internet Power Systems
• i-Tr@der  Business Platform & other vertical market products such as vaWorkplace,       Sportsoft, LatePayments module, IPS-Freedom and IPS-Franchise
• Chris Ogle as a leading expert in the field of 'Running a Business online'

Develop the Web content to promote the Brands

• Establish the IPS Blog
• Completely search engine friendly, reworked Website integrated with our contact management module of the i-Tr@der suit.
• Establish a User group and Business networking membership site for the i-Tr@der Business Platform related products
• Write an e-book, 'Running a Business Online' to build the expert status

Establish a revolutionary sales strategy for 2009

• Increase Marketshare and shake up the software industry

5.  Create a constant programme of marketing activity via the web :-

              - Regular social networking updates including Twitter, Ecademy,
                Facebook etc.
              - Blog updates
              - Article Submission
              - Press announcements
              - Forums
              - email marketing to our building database
              - Working within the IPS-Hub to build a resource central to the future
                of the i-Tr@der product and our building user base

6.  Joint venture promotion and development with, other related service providers,
     independent business people who want to work with i-Tr@der , affiliate
     products
7.  Turn our business into one that I can work on from anywhere and that
     functions just the same whether I am there or not.

What dawned on me sometime ago is that our complete service offering helps businesses to go from where they are today, to being, completely flexible about where they work, using the Internet to generate sales 24/7, transforming the business into one that generates income for them without their presence, and that has a resale value should they wish to exit that business.

If we just take stock of why any of us got into business in the first place? money, more time with the family or on the golf course, being our own boss, working with those we want to work with? and then we see where we actually are, sometimes it doesn't feel like it ought to. IPS is now helping business people to really achieve what they set out to do.

We have not arrived at our destination yet for Internet Power Systems, but like they say it is not the destination it is all in the Journey! ... and this is one fantastic ride!

Happy 200 days Chris! It's been exciting and inspiring to work on the various elements of this journey with you. Here's to the next 200, by which time your global takeover masterplan will I'm sure be complete :) Looking forward to our 'audit' meeting next week.

I have been enormously impressed by your ability to stay focussed on the job in hand. It is wonderful how you have recognised how your business links in with the niches we have worked through. Although admittedly you have been in a position to focus entirely on your business, rather than do it in spare time, I still feel that what you have acheived is remarkable.
