Without doubt we are are heading into an incredibly challenging era for businesses. Suddenly all the rules have changed with seemingly nothing sacred any more. The Euro at almost parity with the Pound and rate against the US Dollar falling daily.
There is no question that we are entering a period of the survival of the fittest and we must relook at all areas of our businesses. We will be forced to seek out the most cost effective methods of managing our operations to reduce waste and maximise output.

Cloud computing or Software as a Service (SaaS) offers significant cost reductions, improvements in security and performance as well as far higher levels of integration between different functions of the business.
I caught sight of this recent Computer Business Review - Jason Stamper article in a recent news update via email suggesting that research shows more companies are considering SaaS as an alternative to traditional IT infrastructure.
