IPS has a long-established working relationship with Limited Edition Event Design, who are the go-to technical production designers for all the top Film Premieres. IPS are proud to supply and install the supporting structures for many of their productions, as well as suppling lighting and rigging equipment on a dry hire basis for their technical team to install and operate.
For the Joker: Folie à Deux Premiere IPS also supplied and installed the LED Screen systems – and we provided miles of control and power cabling and associated cable ramp and power distribution systems from our extensive equipment hire inventory.
Lighting equipment supplied for this event drew heavily from the many IP-Rated items in the IPS hire inventory, which are a perfect choice for outdoor events. These included both static and moving fixtures from a range of different manufacturers.
Some hero fixtures from the look included the Prolights Lumipix 15IP LED Battens which were deployed in an eye-catching horizontal array, punctuated by Showtec FLEX Blaze LED fixtures. These were repeated between each of the five LED Screens which lined the edge of the red carpet. The interview stage was highlighted by an array of OTOS B5 Beams and SGM Q-8 RGBW LED Panels, with Unique 2.1 Haze machines on atmosphere duties.
The main red carpet wash was achieved using an array of ROXX E.Show tuneable white LED Pars, which provided a powerful yet even coverage, and maintained a consistent colour temperature to ensure that all the press shots could be effortlessly white balanced.
Custom configuration LED Screen is something that IPS are well placed to support (pun intended!) as we can integrate our modular outdoor LED Screen panels into the structural design process – as we did with this event where we supplied a specially configured Layher based structures to support the screens in custom aspect ratios to work with the bespoke screen content. The LED Screen product used for these premieres was the Chauvet REM 3IP Screen, which is an IP rated 3.9mm pixel pitch product with a high brightness output – making it ideal for outdoor use, even in the daytime.
IPS supplied a range of Staging & Structures to provide the backdrop, platform and presentation stage for elements of the Limited Edition design. All structures had bespoke structural calculations to determine the amount of ballast needed to support the structure with associated cladding, branding and technical equipment fitted, and all were installed and removed by the IPS team.
