IPS supplied a 20m PR15 Outdoor Roof Structure as the main stage for the 2022 Y Not Festival in Derbyshire. Featuring headline sets from The Kooks, Sterophonics, Courteeners and Blossoms, the weekend festival was well attended.
Supporting the main stage, IPS also supplied a number of other Staging & Structures services onsite including a Front of House Structure, Accessible Viewing Platform, PA Delay Towers, Security/Observation Towers along with LiteDeck Platforms for 8 other smaller stages around the event site.
The 20m wide Eurotruss PR15 main stage provided a dominating feature to the event layout, especially as it was fitted with optional 6m side wings, bringing to total frontage to over 32m. Large branded banners fitted to these wings created a great branding opportunity.
Side and Rear Cowsheds ensured that there was plenty of space within the backstage areas to enable a festival schedule of band changeovers to be completed. A double rear loading ramp led down to an extended loading dock which could accomodate two articulated trucks loading simutaniously to help keep everything flowing smoothly onsite.
Control for the main stage was housed within an IPS 6m x 4m Two Storey Front of House (FOH) structure – providing plenty of space for all the production control equipment. The elevated upper level provides clear line of sight to the stage, and the structures open front ensures that audio can be mixed with accuracy.
Supporting the audio deployment, two Prolyte RT-H30V PA Towers were supplied for delay speaker rigging. These were part of an extensive site support package including viewing and performance platforms for all the other onsite event areas.
