Busy start to 2026
Over 35,000 items of Trade Hire Equipment returned in the first two weeks!
We hope everyone had a bit of a break over the festive season. Although there is never really a quiet time in the events industry – and our customers have certainly been busy! Our warehouse teams are now getting stuck into cleaning, checking and testing the tens of thousands of items of hire equipment returned. Meanwhile our hire and project teams are already looking ahead to everything coming up in the next few months.
Busy start to 2026
We have collected 18 artic trailers full of kit – plus lots of other truck and van loads. And we’ve had plenty of direct returns from our lovely customers too. With a significant amount of Power, Rigging and Lighting hardware returning from outdoor projects there is lots to clean. Our brilliant team already have everything planned – and are making full use of our new facilities. This includes the now heated indoor spaces, and also our new outdoor washbays. Using rainwater harvested from our warehouse roof, even the muddiest cables and cable ramp come up like new. Clever underground filtration systems also mean we can reuse the water used.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be working through the hundreds of cases, stillages and dolavs of equipment. Everything will be cleaned, checked and tested. All items will then be put away in their storage location. Following our ‘Prep to Shelf’ philosophy means that all our trade hire equipment is ready to hire. This ensures we can respond quickly to any project requirements.
Coming up this year
Away from the warehouse, there are plenty of Staging & Structure and Technical Production projects underway, and many more in the pipeline. Some of our Outdoor Roof Stages are already fully booked for key summer dates. If you are working on a summer event, please don’t leave it too late to talk to us about your requirements.
We have a series of training events already planned for 2026, with more being added too. A range of new hire equipment will be joining our inventory during this year. Plus we’ll be moving on some ex hire items too.
It is great to have had a busy start to 2026. We are very much looking forward to all the projects we will work on over the next year – hope to see you all onsite soon. Now, back to cleaning cables…
