Latest Line Array: d&b CCL8, CCL12 & CCL-SUB loudspeakers arrive in IPS audio hire stock

d&b audiotechnik CL Series

We are excited to add the innovative d&b audiotechnik CL Series to our audio hire inventory. Designed to deliver the renowned performance of d&b line array technology in a more compact and efficient format. The CL Series offers outstanding scalability for small to medium-sized live events, corporate productions, theatres, and touring applications. The system combines advanced cardioid technology, excellent directivity control and impressive output levels, all within a lightweight, easy-to-deploy package.

The IPS CCL inventory consists of the CCL8 and CCL12 compact cardioid line array loudspeakers, paired with the powerful CCL-SUB cardioid subwoofer. The IPS systems will be driven by our new D25 amplifiers. However, the CCL cabinets can also be used with d&b D40, D80 and D90 amplifiers, providing efficient deployment and consistent sonic performance across a wide range of applications.

One of the most impressive features of the CCL Series is its passive cardioid design, delivering controlled low-frequency directivity without requiring additional amplifier channels. This helps reduce unwanted energy on stage and behind the system while maintaining excellent clarity and intelligibility throughout the audience area.

The system can be flown with up to 24 cabinets in a single column. Ground stack adaptors also allow the system to work in non-flown configurations. The CCL-SUB subwoofers are fitted with integrated hardware to allow them to be flown with an array if required. Arriving at IPS soon, we will also have additional B12 subwoofers to support ground stacked applications. Plus, we also stock the J-INFRA Sub for heavyweight reinforcement if required.

CCL8 & CCL12

The CCL8 offers consistent coverage, compact dimensions and exceptional vocal clarity are required. The CCL12 provides wider horizontal coverage, making it ideal for venues with shallow audience areas or applications where extensive horizontal coverage is required. Key specifications include:

CCL-SUB

Designed specifically to complement the CCL line array system, the CCL-SUB delivers powerful low-frequency extension with excellent rear rejection. Its integrated cardioid design reduces unwanted bass behind the array while maintaining strong, controlled low-end performance for the audience.

The introduction of the CCL Series allows us to offer an even more versatile d&b solution between compact point-source systems and larger format line arrays. The combination of low weight, controlled directivity, high output and fast deployment makes it an outstanding choice for modern production requirements. Physically similar in size to the T-Series in Line Array configuration, with audio dispersion characteristics like the Y-Series, this is a visibly small system with an impressively directional output.
