We have expanded our range of Eurotruss TD44 truss products. Our range now includes more length options from 0.25m to 3m. Also in stock is a full range of corners and components to make self-climbing towers, ground support systems and much more. IPS stock TD44 truss is all in a black finish.

TD44 Truss Technical Specifications

Eurotruss TD44 is a 40cm aluminium square tower truss with black finish. TD44 uses a 3 mm wall thickness in the main tube to ensure durability and extra strength. Designed for high frequency usage or installations, which demands higher loading. Ideal trussing system for rental, touring and exhibition companies. IPS TD44 Hire Stock includes the following lengths: 0.25m, 0.5m, 1m, 1.5m, 2m & 3m.

The TD44 truss has the same excellent load capacity as the Eurotruss HD44 truss series. Check out the loading table here: https://www.eurotruss.com/product/hd44-square-truss/. The TD44 truss series shares the same dimensions as the HD44 and now discontinued FD44 truss series. Note that the FD44 has a reduced 2mm wall thickness which has a lower rated loading than HD/TD44.

The TD name denotes a tower truss type. Eurotruss created the TD44 truss for use as a vertical tower element, adding an extra welded ‘climbing’ brace on one side. However, TD44 is also ideal for horizontal (or any other angle) orientation applications with free spans of 18m in length.

The TD44 truss series uses the Eurotruss CS1 coupler system. Each length is supplied with a set of four CS1 conical couplers bolted into one end, and four loose CS1 truss pins & clips. The TD44 features 45 degree coupler orientation (meaning the pins go diagonally into each corner) so it is equally easy to assemble in any orientation.

Base Plates

We stock a standard and heavy base plate option for hire use. IPS also have a Layher integration option, although this is currently only available for use on a project basis.

The standard TD44 Base Plate is a black finish 9mm thick aluminium base plate fitted with welded conical receivers. Measuring 420mm square, the plate has a compact footprint just larger than the truss. The welded receivers make these super easy to use inverted as top plates – just remember that this is the opposite of almost all our other base plates which come with protruding couplers so keep in mind when working out your eggs / truss orientations.

The heavy base plate option is a variant of our ever popular 800mm square heavy base plate with wooden bottom. It is the Type 2 version that you’ll need to specify to use with TD44 – supplied with protruding eggs as you may expect.

Corners

Eurotruss BLK-TD TD44 Box Corner BLACK is the IPS hire stock corner section for use with our range of Eurotruss TD44 truss. Also known as a BLK-44 or HD44 Multi Truss cornerblock, these are also compatible with Eurotruss HD44 and FD44 truss. The Box Corner is a modular corner system that can be supplied in a range of different configurations. These include 2, 3-, 4-, 5- and 6-way corners.

You can use the corner block in all configurations of 90‑degree angles. Engineers designed the corner blocks to be very rigid, so they can take 100% of the applied load in either a vertical or horizontal direction

Box corner configuration is completed by using bolt on female receivers. As standard IPS use CS1-BOB100 attachments. As the name suggests these add 100mm in each direction to the corner dimension. For example, this would mean that a 90-degree corner would need one extra set of attachments on two faces, and each of these would measure 500mm (400mm of corner plus 100mm of attachment.

Sleeve/ Carriage Blocks & Headers

At IPS, we configure the TD44 Sleeve Block as standard for Eurotruss ST Truss. We populate it in a 4‑way configuration for easy deployment. Various Header blocks are available too – please ask for more details to suit your project.
