We are excited to announce that as well as being amongst the first hire stockists of the new Chauvet COLORado PXL Curve 1, IPS is the first in the world to get our hands on the bigger version, the brand new Chauvet COLORado PXL Curve 5.
These dynamic new fixtures are part of a trend that seems to be arriving on the market for 2026, offering a super-fast tilting fixture now with added pan abilities. Able to create sweeping linear curtains, the pan also allows a splayed beam look to add to the volumetric effects list. Single cell and multiple cell options allow the effect to be scaled to fit into almost any design or venue. Think of it as a square headed tornado, a volero wave than can pan as well as tilt, or a brighter magicblade neo that can splay. Either way, it is definitely worth a closer look.
Chauvet COLORado PXL Curve Features
The Chauvet COLORado PXL Curve 1 and Curve 5 both feature 120W RGBW LED engines as their primary light source. As part of the COLORado family, these fixtures are fully IP65 rated. This makes them suitable for use indoors or outdoors.
The PXL Curve 1 is a single unit, and the PXL Curve 5 combines 5 cells in a quick to rig multi-head fixture. Each cell also includes both a warm white and a cool white linear strobe. The fixtures can tilt 200 degrees, and each cell can independently tilt 60 degrees. Each cell also zoom from 8 to 30 degrees to add another layer to the creative possibilities.
PXL Curve 1 fixtures include alignment pins on each unit to aid perfect placement when used in multiples. The Curve units can be used in any orientation, and the hire includes rigging hardware too. The Curve 1 has a rigging weight of 6.8kg and the Curve 5 is 32.4kg.
Power connections are via TRUE 1 inlets and both fixture types include a link out. Power consumption is around 200W for the Curve 1 and 1113W for the Curve 5. Data is via 5pin XLR and/or EtherCON. Control options include DMX, ArtNet and sACN. The Curve 1 has two personality profiles, using 24 or 25 channels. Meanwhile, the Curve 5 fixtures have four personality profiles, using 120 to 355.

Ready to Hire
The Chauvet COLORado PXL Curve 1 supplied from IPS packaged in an eight-way flight case (plus we have some single cases too). An omega brackets with slimline quick trigger clamp and a safety bond are included for hanging. Each fixture is also supplied with a 16A to TRUE1 power cable.
The Chauvet COLORado PXL Curve 5 is supplied in a 4-way flight case. A pair of omega brackets with slimline quick trigger clamps and a safety bond are included for hanging. Each fixture is also supplied with a 16A to TRUE1 power cable.
