IPS is 20 years old today
IPS celebrates a special birthday and reveals 20th Anniversary Logo.
IPS is 20 years old today. It was on 19th February 2006 that Impact Productions (Milton Keynes) Limited was officially registered as a limited company in England and Wales. The company has been on quite a journey since then. Progressing from a team of two to now over fifty full time staff, there has been a lot of development. Whilst our premises, equipment and processes have constantly evolved, our core values have remained the same.
We are very proud of our respected, multi-skilled team, delivering quality equipment and technical support to the live events industry. We are grateful to all the wonderful customers, crew and suppliers that we work alongside. And we are still constantly captivated, amazed and challenged and by the weird and wonderful world of live events.
We’ll be looking back on how things have developed over the coming months. And we’ll also be talking more about our plans for the future.
The team will be celebrating today and will be sharing some stories of the past as well as hopes for the future. We’ll also be treating the team to breakfast and lunch. There will be some special edition IPS 20th anniversary branded items. Plus, there will be cake and balloons – it wouldn’t be a proper celebration without cake and balloons!! We’ll share some photos on our social media feeds later.
A bit of IPS history:
If you are thinking that it must be longer than 20 years that IPS has been around, then you’d be partially right. IPS owner James Mason had been building up the business as a sole trader for several years before the company became limited. In fact, the operation was already registered for VAT in early 2001. There has been much discussion over the years about what should be considered our official ‘start’ date. However, in keeping with our usual slightly understated style, we have chosen to mark the date of our incorporation as the starting point.
IPS has a proven track record and consistently grown and developed throughout the last two decades. Following our warehouse move in 2025, IPS is now embarking on another chapter, and it will be very interesting to see how things develop over the next 20 years.
