The unit includes phantom power and battery supplies as standard. Should the phantom power from the console fail or be accidentally switched off, the AR-133 automatically switches over to the internal 9V battery providing uninterrupted use.

The cardioid dispersion pattern resulting from this approach avoids unwanted energy behind the system that greatly reduces the reverberant field at low frequencies and provides the greatest accuracy of low frequency reproduction. The B4 subwoofer can only be used in a ground stacked setup. The B4-SUB cabinet is constructed from marine plywood, has an impact and weather resistant paint finish and a pair of handles. The signal delay capability enables user definable settings of up to 10 s (= 3440 m/11286 ft), which can be applied independently to each channel. The same applies to the two 16-band equalizers, providing optional parametric, asymmetric, shelving or notch filtering. The D20 incorporates a colour TFT touchscreen, offering quick access to the menu structure, while the rotary encoder can be used for fine adjustment. The front panel and the integrated touchscreen are tilted up for easy operation when the amplifier is below eye level. The equal ratio of signal input to amplifier output channels increases application flexibility particularly for monitor, frontfill or effect channel use. The LoadMatch function integrated within the D20 amplifier electrically compensates for the properties of loudspeaker cable used. The D20 incorporates Class D amplifiers utilizing a power supply with active Power Factor Correction (PFC) suitable for mains voltages 100 V – 240 V, 50 – 60 Hz and maintains a stable output when used with weak or unstable mains supplies. An NL8 provides all outputs on a single connector for loudspeaker multicores. Dual channel mode is driven through four individual NL4 connectors, while Mix TOP/SUB and 2-Way Active mode output configurations for applicable d and b loudspeakers are available via two central NL4 connectors. etherCON and RJ 45 connectors enable access to the d and b Remote network through OCA/AES70 via Ethernet and through CAN-Bus respectively.

The same applies to the 4-band parametric equalizer, providing optional boost/cut or notch filtering. The D6 incorporates a digital rotary encoder and a LCD display to configure the amplifier. The D6 incorporates Class D amplifiers utilizing a switch mode power supply with active Power Factor Correction (PFC), suitable for mains voltages 100 V/120 V/200 V/ 230 V, 50 – 60 Hz and maintains a stable and increased output when used with weak or unstable mains supplies. It is supplied with two NL4 loudspeaker output connectors. RJ 45 connectors enable access to the Remote network via CAN-Bus. d and b System check verifies that the system performs within a predefined condition, whilst d and b Load monitoring enables an automatic and continuous impedance monitoring. Both can determine the status of an LF or HF driver in systems with multiple elements, even if these are crossed over passively.

Users must use Y-Series rigging components (Flying frame, Load adapter, Locking pins) only with d&b Y-Series loudspeakers.

Users can use the Z5390 Y Flying frame to suspend a total system weight of 540 kg SWL. This can consist of up to 24 Y-TOP cabinets or a SUB column with a maximum of 10 Y-SUB cabinets.

Rigging components enable users to fly arrays of up to 10 Y-TOP cabinets, with a total system weight of 220 kg, in any vertical splay angle configuration between the cabinets. Amplifier Options & Cabling

As with all d&b loudspeakers, users must pair them with dedicated d&b amplification, which provides any required audio processing. The IPS hire range includes D20 or D80 amplifiers to drive the Y8. D20 amplifiers are ready to hire either as single units, in D20 dual racks or three-way D20 tour racks. D80 amplifiers are ready to hire in three way D80 tour racks, which come complete with DS10 for easy dante or AES integration.
D40, D90, and D25 models are also suitable. Each amplifier output channel drives up to two Y8 cabinets

The kit includes twelve microphone transmitters to suit your event requirement. They can either be all the same or a mixture of different types. The choices are as follows:

  • Sennheiser EW-DX SKM Series Handheld E845 Microphone with stand clip
  • Sennheiser EW-DX SK Series Belt Pack with Sennheiser ME2 US Lapel Microphone. (Sometimes also called a tie clip or Lavalier mic)

Further options include a headset microphone for use with the belt pack. We offer a standard Theatrical Headset mic, or a premium DPA mic choice. Please note that to use the DPA option, you’ll also need a 3.5mm Sennheiser to microdot adaptor.

 

 

Advanced Features

The EW‑DX is a digital radio mic system that features an extended 88 MHz switching bandwidth and delivers intermodulation‑free operation across multiple channels with secure AES‑256 digital encryption. These compact half‑rack dual receivers pair with Evolution Wireless Digital handheld and bodypack transmitters. They deliver twice the channel count within the same footprint as the previous generation of Sennheiser radio mics, which have formed the backbone of the IPS radio mic range for many years.
Although the models we stock lack Dante connectivity, they offer Ethernet control via Sennheiser Control Cockpit or Wireless System Manager. You can also use the Ethernet connection to create a redundant power supply through PoE.

The AutoScan feature quickly scans the environment and deploys frequencies with equidistant channel spacing, even for users without RF expertise. The units also include a Link Quality Indicator (LQI) that displays link quality independently of RF levels. Dante Audio Network Switch

The Yamaha Dante 5x Primary & 5x Secondary Switch Rack 2U is a 2U rack sleeve which contains 2x Yamaha SWR2100P-5G network switches and a connection panel. Quick and easy to deploy, these compact racks offer a plug and play network connection solution for digital audio networks.

Designed for use with IPS Dante network audio systems. The rack is labelled and configured to provide 5x Primary and 5x Secondary network ports via RJ45 etherCON connectors. As there are two physical hardware switches within the rack, a high level of redundancy is offered by this setup.

Dante is a network protocol supported by many different audio and AV manufacturers. It is a true IP based protocol so can co-exist on a shared network infrastructure. This could be either within a managed corporate installation, or within a show control network system also containing lighting and other control traffic.  It is designed to enable uncompressed low-latency multi-channel digital audio over a standard ethernet network using layer 3 IP packets.
