The ART7 AsteraBox is a wireless interface between all Astera fixtures and other control infrastructure.

AsteraBox functions as a Bluetooth Bridge that connects lights with phones or tablets and enables AsteraApp control. Thanks to the built-in battery, it can be carried around to ensure that it stays close to your handheld device. Regularly seen clipped to the belt of an LD alongside a show radio whilst moving around a show or venue! While the classic AsteraBox connects via Bluetooth, the newer version also supports Wifi when connecting box to phone or tablet.

In addition, both AsteraBox models can be used as wireless DMX transmitters using LumenRadio industry-leading CRMX technology. This way you can control Astera lights as well as other CRMX-enabled lights from a DMX controller. The ART7 is supplied from IPS in a small plastic case complete with a mains charger – although it will be delivered fully charged and ready to use. Astera AX1 Pixel Tube Kit at IPS. The AX1 is a powerful pixel controllable LED RGBW baton that can be mounted at event and film sites to light up people and objects or create indirect lighting effects. A highly creative device that offers an infinite range of possibilities.

Seamless Runtime:

To ensure that your light’s batteries last throughout your entire production, you can select how many hours they have to last. This limits the light’s output to a level where you get the maximum brightness to achieve the selected runtime.

Anti-Flicker:

Using the AsteraApp, users can adjust the PWM frequency of the LEDs can to ensure that there is no interference with standard cameras. In addition, the light has a green/magenta balance to minimize post-production work.

Emergency Light:

With this innovative feature, the lights can double as a battery-powered emergency light. When activated, the fixture can detect power loss and instantly switches to bright white light to illuminate the venue.

Anti-Theft:

If enabled, the integrated theft alarm gives visual and audible alarm if lights are being moved. In addition, the AsteraApp also shows the alarm.

Talkback+:

Detect all available lights, set them up, check their status, configure DMX addresses and DMX profiles.

Astera NYX Bulb Kit Hire

The first color-tunable LED bulb for professional film, stage and event productions. No bigger than a normal LED bulb, it contains a CRMX receiver as well as modules for the AsteraApp. It can be powered via a standard domestic Edison Screw (ES) lamp socket or with a standard power bank and thanks to its RGBMintAmber Titan LED engine it displays precise colors and white tones with ultra-high CRI and TLCI.

Available in white and black, the IPS hire stock version has a black body (unlike the stock kit photo here).

NYX Bulb can be screwed in and powered by lamp sockets just like any other light bulb.

DC Power
On the NYX Bulbs side we have included a DC socket for 5~18VDC power. This means it can be used whenever AC power is not available. The Astera PowerStation as well as a standard power bank can be used to power a bulb for several hours. Each kit isupplied with one PowerStation.

The Avolites Art 2000 is a 48-way Dimmer and configurable as a versatile distribution rack. With four modular bays, comprised of any mix of 12-way 16a dimmers, hot power or relay switches. Taking in 400A Powelock on the rear with through, this is distributed to a 32/3 and 3x 16A as well as the modules. The top panel allows for patching any module output to any of the 120 Socapex channels on the rear. The top panel also houses a 2-channel 5-way DMX buffer and full digital controls for the system.

The compact box with proven Avolites Art 2000 dimming technology is quick to set up. It boasts 12 dimmer circuits at 10A each, 6 combined dimmer/fixed mains at 10A each, 6 fixed mains at 16A each and 2 utility CEE16 outlets at 16A each. DMX control data is easy to connect to the unit using standard 5pin XLRs. The PowerCube also contains a handy two port DMX splitter / buffer DMX output.

Cameo OTOS B5 IP65 Beam Hire

Razor-sharp, dazzlingly bright beams still characterise the appearance of modern lighting designs. With the OTOS B5, you can create these expressive looks on any indoor or outdoor stage. The IP65- compliant beam moving head is a light-intensive powerhouse based on a 480 watt discharge lamp. With a cold white colour temperature source (6800k), it delivers an punchy illuminance output of 11,500 lux at 100m. The OTOS B5 has a high-quality optical system with 205 mm front lens. MagicQ MQ70 a Compact Console, small and lightweight console that you can fly with. The MagicQ MQ70 fits within hand luggage carry on restrictions of all the major budget airlines including, Southwest, Easyjet and Ryanair. The console features a 10.1%E2%80%9D Multi touch display, with illuminated encoder and fader tracks.

The console supports 24 universes with an option to expand to 48. The console has 3 network ports enabling ArtNet and sACN direct from the console, whilst also having 4 assignable physical DMX ports. This feature packed console also includes WIFI inbuilt to the console for quick connection to ChamSys MagicQ Remote focus application without the need for external networking hardware.

Chauvet RGB LED Festoon Kit  |  15m long / 20x lamps

Introducing the RGB LED Festoon system from Chauvet DJ. The second‑generation Festoon 2 system features single LED lamps mounted in holders. Cable tails sit on either side of each holder and use fitted IP‑rated connectors. Each section measures 0.75 m in total length. Please note that you cannot remove the lamps from the holders, unlike earlier versions of this product. A control unit powers the system and supports both stand‑alone operation and DMX‑controlled modes. IPS supplies the standard kit as a 15 m assembly containing 20 RGB LEDs (forming the full 15m festoon run) and a controller with 13A and 16A to IEC power cables.

Control Options

The controller drives up to 60 RGB LED Festoon lamps, which you can connect together in a single string. You can hire additional RGB LED strings from IPS. Chauvet WELL Fit Wireless LED Uplighter Kit

City Theatrical Donuts are used in the colour frame slot of an ellipsoidal reflector spotlight to sharpen gobo projections. Similar to the way the human eye sharpens focus when it squints, a donut reduces the aperture and sharpens the output of the fixture. There is some reduction in brightness to achieve this increase in sharpness but this is often a trade off that designers are willing to make.

City Theatrical Standard Top Hats serve two functions in entertainment lighting: To control light spill or to reduce the viewing angle to the lens.
Sometimes poor fixture optics or poorly maintained lenses can cause light to be directed into the audience or onto scenery, and top hats can help control that. It is also often objectionable to the audience or camera to see the bright source of the light and top hats can shield the bright source from view. All of our black top hats and half top hats are flocked on the interior to reduce light reflection.

The JDC Burst 1 is the powerful successor to the JDC1, setting new standards in brightness, color variety, and flexibility. The Luminex GigaCore 16Xt Gigaswitch is a pre-configured ethernet network switch. Designed for professional AV solutions, the Luminex range is perfect for touring and live events, and ready to hire now from IPS.

Connections & Interface

The GigaCore 16Xt is a Gigabit Ethernet switch. This blue coloured 1U rackmount switch from Luminex has ten RJ45 etherCON connectors on the front panel. There are a further two RJ45 etherCON on the rear along with four SFP Cages. IPS also stock a range of fibre cabling to make use of the SFP options and extend networks over larger areas. Please ask for more details and options. This makes the 16Xt very easy to incorporate into a wide range of control systems – and is particularly popular with lighiting technicians. At IPS, our lighting control hire systems are all based around Luminex network processing hardware.

The 16Xt front panel features a LCD display and physical controls for on unit hardware configuration. Supplied from IPS in a default configuration as standard, all options can also be managed through an intuative web interface – and also using the excellent Luminex Areaneo software.

Supporting 10/100/1000Mbps on each of the 16 ports, the Luminex 16Xt is a gigabit speed switch. It offers full non blocking wire-speedswitching performance. Mainly used for our lighting networks at IPS, the Luminex range is equally at home on audio, video or converged networks. It supports a huge range of protocols including Dante©, Ethersound©, sACN, ArtNet, MANet2, and many more. There are easy to use options within the switch interface to configure features. The Luminex Luminode 12 is part of the Luminode series, which represents an new generation of Ethernet / DMX processing. Martin P3 PowerPort 2000 is the current flagship power & data source for the Martin Sceptron XB range. 4x Martin DCE outputs per unit.

Martin Sceptron XB is a compact, high-performance LED pixel system, designed for both lighting and creative video application. The Martin Sceptron XB 1000mm is an extremely compact and lightweight RGBW pixel-batten with a range of accessories allowing it to be configured to create a huge range of different looks.

This hire listing is for the standard 1000mm / one metre long version of the Sceptron XB. IPS also have the 320mm version in hire stock. If you are familiar with the previous generation of Martin VDO 10 Sceptron, this is a new and improved version. It is physically almost the same (slightly deeper) with the same range of filters and diffusers, and with some additional clever new rigging accessories. Cabling has been changed from the old BBD type to a new DCE type of Hybrid power & data cabling. Most importantly, the Sceptron XB is now RGBW, with significantly improved light output compared to the previous RGB generation. It is now also IP65 rated and can be used indoors or outdoors as required.

The RGBW LEDs at the heart of the Sceptron XB produce more than triple the output of VDO Sceptron 10. Higher output and higher light quality (CRI / TM-30 / TLCI) are achieved using Full Gamut Pixel Calibration. According to Martin, this guarantees pixel-to-pixel and fixture-to-fixture consistency, even when products from different manufacturing batches are being used together.

Power & Control

The Sceptron XB must be used with a Martin P3 PowerPort 2000 or 500 driver to provide power & data. These are ready to hire from IPS, with the P3 PowerPort 2000 being a 1U Rackmount four output option, and the P3 Powerport 500 IP Rental being an IP rated truss mountable one output option.

The RoboSpot system allows spot operators to be (almost) anywhere, and the LD can still maintain full fixture control from their own console. Perfect for touring, stadiums, theatre, TV, and any show where flexibility and safety matter.

The Robe RoboSpot system features a BaseStation with a large 15.6-inch HD touch screen for the operator to observe the performance from a first person viewpoint and a full range of hand controls for operating the fixtures such as pan, tilt, intensity, focus, faders and many others, all of which are fully customisable for the operators benefit. The screen receives the live video feed from the RoboSpot MotionCamera or from the fixture-mounted RoboSpot camera and the operator commands are instantly transferred to the luminaires via DMX control with no lag for perfect motion tracking across the stage.

What do you atually get when you hire the ROBE RoboSpot Kit from IPS?

Case 1 – RoboSpot basestation. This contains the basestation, screen, stand and camera fixture.

Case 2 – custom IPS multicore loom case. This contains a 75m cable loom with input and output boxes and link looms to connect basestation and camera. The loom contains a TRUE1 power feed for the camera, plus DMX and Ethernet connections to get everyhting working. The camera/output loom box is designed to truss mount, and is supplied fitted with a clamp and safety bond.

If you hire this kit, all you’d need to add is one or more fixtures to act as your followspot heads (such as the Robe BMFL WashBeam).

ROXX E.SHOW Narrow Lens

The ROXX E.SHOW is a range of high performance LED Par lighting fixtures. An IP65 rating makes them suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The TW+ model that we have chosen for our hire stock is the Tuneable White Plus model which contains an 200W RGBLAC LED Source. The conventional red, green and blue (RGB) LED elements within the LED source are supplemented with Lime, Amber and Cyan (LAC) elements. This extends the colour reproduction range of this fixture by 15%. This contributes to the very high CRI rating of 97, making it ideal for applications where colour clarity is important. With a 200W source, the output of the TW+ is also very powerful, with a 9000 lumen rated output.

The fixture itself has a high quality construction, and is easy to transport, rig and operate. Available with a 19 degree (Narrow) or 36 degree (Medium) lens as standard from IPS. Optional accessories include adjustable 8 way barndoors and a 19 x 57 degree elliptical wide lens, providing plenty of beam control options.

Users control the fixture through an onboard OLED screen, Bluetooth using the ROXX app, or wireless DMX via the CRMX protocol. They connect wired DMX using 5-pin XLRs, which provide easy RDM-enabled communication. Each fixture supports twelve control modes, addressed by 3 to 20 DMX channels. A TRUE1 power inlet with a link output simplifies setup. Users can power up to eight fixtures in series if needed

The SGM G-7 BeaST IP66 is a dual-purpose moving head specialized in aerial beams and high-power blind / strobe effects. Its glass parabolic reflector collimates multiple reflections into one coherent beam of light. Meanwhile a rounded array of LEDs, inserted in the center of the reflector, delivers a high-power white strobe blinder. Due to its wide lens aperture, projection capabilities, and outstanding direct view effect, the G-7 BeaSt creates an innovative system specially interesting for long-throw applications, high-scale tours, and versatile installations.

LED Technology

The G-7 BeaSt features a powerful 360W white LED engine in combination with a 440W SMD array. Both lightsources work at their maximum output when operated independently. Plus they can also build effects together within a 650W limitation. With 102 lumen per watt, the G-7 BeaSt is the most efficient luminaire in the SGM product range. The LEDs expected lifetime is 20,000 hours.

Optics & Photometrics

The G-7 BeaSt mounts a special optical system based on multiple reflection collimation over a glass parabolic reflector. This system allows the unit to output a powerful parallel beam of light with a 320mm (11″) lens aperture. The strobe blinder consists in multiple lightsources with individual lenses inserted in the center of the reflector, optimized for direct view applications. With a beam light output of 85,000 lux at 10 meters, and a strobe blind effect able to reach 50,000 lumen, the G-7 BeaSt offers a performance way above of its size. When the beam and the strobe / blinder are used together, the fixture is able to keep the same lux values.

Aerial FX
The G-7 BeaSt features an unique aerial projection, thanks to its bright parallel beam of light, 6 rotatable gobos (2 split colors, 3 gobo patterns, and 1 frost filter), expandable beam, and special animation effects. This product has been optimized for high visibility, and therefore it is ideal for long-throws that need to be seen from a distance.

Efficiency
With 102 lumen / watt for the strobe / blinder function, the G-7 BeaSt is the most efficient fixture in the SGM range. The whole luminaire has been optimized to obtain the highest output with a maximum power consumption of only 640W. When the fixture only uses the strobe blinder, 500W is the maximum power.

IP rating, Dehumidification & Thermal management

The durable IP66-rating of the G-7 BeaSt ensures that the unit is kept free from externally induced particles and liquids. These include smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor installations as well.

The internal built-in dehumidifier protects this fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification, not only removes humidity, but also prevents oxidation and condensation. Meanwhile a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks.

This powerful luminaire is optimized to manage heat impact through SGM’s unique thermal management technology. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminium alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion. Meanwhile the fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal performance at any time and under any conditions. These include variable temperatures, limited airflows, confined installation spaces, etc. Like all SGM products, the G-7 BeaSt consists of SGM’s superior thermal management technology. This is tested under extreme hot and cold conditions, which ensures that the LEDs always operate within safe parameters.

LED Technology
The P-6 features 24 high-power RGBW 24W LEDs with a superior optical performance. All the components have been designed to achieve the maximum output performance in a lightweight and compact size. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.

The Q-8 combines the compact size and low power consumption of the Q-7, the advanced industrial design of the Q-10, and the powerful strobe-blinder of the G-7 BeaSt in 2 separated arrays. This high color quality DualSource luminaire features RGBW mixing, pixel-mapping control, 110deg and 75deg spread angles, and all the benefits of magnetic easy-fit filter frames. The Showtec Outdoor Dome is a self inflating outdoor protection housing. Due to its waterproof cover, it allows outdoor use of various spotlights independent from any weathercondition. It is an ideal protection against rain, and dirt. Through the continuous air circulation in the Showtec Outdoor dome the unit has additional cooling.

The Showtec Stage Blinder FLEX Blaze is a set of 8 high-power LED audience blinders of 100 W each and a dedicated controller. Each individual pod has a powerful warm white COB LED of 3000 K with integrated amber LEDs to perfectly mimic the tungsten dimming of traditional blinders. Integrated RGB LEDs light sources allow you to create unique full-colour blaze effects. The powerful LED light source combined with a strobe functionality allows you to use the Stage Blinder FLEX Blaze as a strobe light with interesting colour effects. The light effect can be controlled via DMX/RDM, Master/Slave, but can also run in stand-alone mode with several built-in programs.
The blinder pods have a special mounting bracket with 4 holes at a 45-degree angle, so you don%E2%80%99t have to detach the pod from it to drill through the holes to mount it. The bracket also has a 12.5 mm hole, while the controller has two 12.5 mm holes and an M10 threaded insert for attaching a clamp. You can also attach a quick lock bracket to the controller and pods. The blinders and controller have a robust IP65-rated aluminium enclosure and are ready for outdoor shows. Dedicated 4x 2.5 m and 4x 5 m cables with control signals and power are included. Additional dedicated cables of various lengths are available separately (maximum length allowed: 30 m).

The Sunstrip Active is the successor of the already popular Sunstrip I and II. However, this Sunstrip is fully active and has a built-in dimmerpack. The four different universes within the adaptor are identified with colour coded cable boots on the adaptor. The four colours used are Red, Brown, Orange & Yellow. Completely passive system, so no power needed at either end. Please note that this is a pin adaptor based system and NOT an IP / Network Protocol system. This means that whilst it uses standard network cable, it can’t be used with other network items such as systems or other control systems. It must be cabled point to point, from one SneakSnake compatible adaptor or panel to another. This does mean that there is no software configuration or assignment – just plug it in and it is ready to go. As network cables are bi-directional, it also means that there can’t be a wrong end at FOH if someone has not been paying attention. Worst case, you only have to swap the fan in/out adaptors!

Sneak Snake Panel
Send up to four universes of DMX down a CAT network cable using the SneakSnake system made by TMB. This listing is for the Sneak Snake Panel. This is a smart 1U rack mounted panel populated with both male and female 5pin XLR connectors. The male and female connectors are connected in parallel, so only one should be used at a time. This means the SneakSnake Panel is bi-directional and could be used at either an input or output end of a system. It is most found built into an Art-Net stage output rack to simplify truss cable runs.
IPS also stock the matching Sneak Snake 4-Uni Fan IN and Sneak Snake 4-Uni Fan OUT adaptors for the other end of this system.
