Named Type D, this block features a sloped edge profile (also sometimes called a marquee style block). This block is fitted with a screw in lifting eye fitting in a recessed moulding at the top, and a shaped base to allow handling by forklift.

The exterior dimensions of the IPS Type B ballast block are 1000mm x 750mm x 750mm.

12.5kg Stage Weight Hire

The 12.5kg Stage Weight is a classic industry essential, found supporting productions all over the world. There isn’t a theatre in the UK without a stack of these somewhere! Featuring a cutout to be compatible with stage braces, and a handy carrying handle, this stackable square lump of joy is ideal for all your stage weight requirements. Also known as a hand weight.

Not to be confused with the heavier 20kg stage weight – although we do hire these too, check out the listing here. 

We usually dispatch hires with multiple 12.5kg weights either in wheeled cages or on pallets. The wheeled cages contain up to 24 weights, or we get 20 per layer on a standard pallet. These can then be moved in bulk using a standard pallet truck (or forklift if available).

IPS also stock a range of other ballast options. If you have mechanical handling equipment onsite, then our range of concrete blocks are quick and easy to deploy. For outside projects, we also have water tanks and ground anchors ready to hire. 20kg Stage Weight Hire

The 20kg Hand / Stage Weight is a structure building essential. They find many uses within an event and live production environment. We have well over 1000 of these in stock at IPS. Several design variations are held within our hire stock. This means the exact dimensions of each weight may be slightly different. All types feature a large handle which is ideal for carrying the weight, and as an attachment or strapping point.

Not to be confused with the classic square 12.5kg stage weight – although we do hire these too, check out the listing here. This 20kg version is also known as a hand weight, and calibrated versions are also available which are widely used as test weights.

We usually dispatch hires with multiple 20kg weights on steel pallets. These typically contain up to 36 weights. These can then be moved in bulk using a standard pallet truck (or forklift if available).

IPS also stock a range of other ballast options. If you have mechanical handling equipment onsite, then our range of concrete blocks are quick and easy to deploy. 4ch Motor Controller Direct Control 32a 3ph Inlet

The 4ch Motor Controller Direct Control is a simple unit. Offering local control only, this unit has a 32A 3phase power inlet, and four direct control outlets. It’s robust construction, simple to use approach and attractive hire price mean this is a popular unit. Supplied in a compact flightcase, this controller is quick to deploy, and easy to use.

Only for use with direct control motors / chain hoists such as our 250kg Prostar or 1000kg Prolyft options.

If you are looking for a direct control option with more channels, we also stock a range of 8 and 12 channel controllers. More formally known as a 90 deg Fixed Scaff Clamp, but often referred to as a double. Our hire stock versions are made from pressed zinc plated steel. They are manufactured to European Quality Standard EN74-1 Class A and tested to ensure the highest levels of quality control. This listing is for a standard zinc finish model – many of which are also marked with IPS blue paint for easy identification.

The swivel clamp is used for connecting two 48.3mm tubes at right angles. This fitting is designed for use in all types of scaffolding construction. It can regularly be found in lighting rigs, staging and guard rails. Fully compatible with steel or aluminum scaff tubes and staging legs, It is also widely used as part of bracing systems. CM Pickle LV Motor Control

Looking for a 1-way control option for your low voltage (LV) electric chain hoist? Then the CM Pickle LV Motor Control is the product for you!

I’m not sure if anyone really knows where the name pickle comes from, but this is the industry standard way to locally control motors. Compact and easy to use, this is a must for any event rigger to make local adjustments.

Fitted with a CEEE-Form connector, the motor being operated will also need to be connected to a power supply for operation. Once connected, this remote provides push button options for up and down motor adjustment. Doughty T45911 H Frame 1000mm BLACK. An aluminium large Modular H frame with thru connectors often used to create a ladder frame for lanterns.

These H Frames can be connected together or connected to the small H Frames. Connections are made with  45755 conical connector (also known as an egg, secured with a pin & clip). Slots are provided for safety bonds to link between frames if required.

We also stock a Doughty H Frame Female Conical Coupler to Slim Half Coupler BLACK to enable the frame to be suspended from truss/scaff.  These can be ordered as a seperate item to use with the frames as required.

As the name suggests, the Doughty T45911 H Frame 1000mm BLACK has a black finish. The 1000mm refers to the overall height of the frame – the internal space within the frame is around 800mm (see attached dimensions for details). Each frame is 750mm wide (centre to centre of the side supports) – internal space is approx 700mm. The SWL of each frame is 200kg, so keep this in mind when creating drops of frames.

Doughty T54250 Tank Trap

The industry standard. The Doughty T54250 Tank Trap provides the means to support a 48mm vertical tube or scaffold pole. Versatile, robust, and seen all over event and production sites. It is ideal for creating compact lighting stands, side lighting positions, drape supports and a whole host of other applications.

Constructed from a 600mm square mild steel plate with a 48mm receiver welded to it. The receiver is 300mm long with two wingnuts to secure the supported pole. Adding the 5mm plate thickness, the top of this receiver is 305mm from the ground (almost exactly 1 foot). There is a cut out in the base to allow compact stacking for transport and storage, and a handle cut out for easier carrying.

Supplied by IPS in a Black painted finish, the tank trap is also sometimes known as a boom base. We also have a full range of aluminium scaffold tube (scaff) and all kinds of clamps and joiners ready to hire here. Our 20kg stage weights are ideal for use with these stands to give additional support if needed. Full manufacturer specification from Doughty here. Larger quantity tank trap hires from IPS are usually sent out strapped to a pallet.

The vertical support in these tank traps is in the centre of the base plate. If you are looking for an alternative configuration, we also stock the three position version of this product. This enables the support to either be in the middle, the middle of one edge, or the far corner of the plate. This is very handy when trying to get vertical uprights as close to a wall as possible. Alternatively if you are planning a drape or starcloth wall type installation, our Wentex Pipe & Drape system is also worth considering.

Doughty T54265 3 Position Tank Trap

Building on the classic tank trap design, this three position version from Doughty provides many more options. A steel multipurpose floor plate to suit 48mm barrel and truss. Fitted with a removable receiver which may be bolted in three different locations. The key feature of this model is that the receiver may be mounted in the centre, at the edge or in the corner of the plate.

Constructed from a 600mm square mild steel plate with a 48mm receiver welded to it. The receiver is 302mm long with two wingnuts to secure the supported pole. Adding the 5mm plate thickness, the top of this receiver is 307mm from the ground (just a tiny bit taller than the standard base plate). There is a handle cut out for easier carrying each plate – each of which weights 18.5kg. IPS also stock the doughty a wheeled trolley system for storing and transporting the three posision tank trape. The receiver detatches from the plate when stored in the trolley for compact packing.

Supplied by IPS in a Black painted finish. The 3 position tank trap is also sometimes known as a boom base. The fixed-corner design allows you to use the sleeve block in 1-way, 2-way, 3-way, or 4-way arrangements. The connection layout works with a Eurotruss ST Truss grid. IPS have a range of Eurotruss ST Truss lengths and corners ready to hire, all with a black finish. Sleeve blocks, also known as carriage blocks, typically work with a base, header, and chain hoist to create a self-climbing tower.

Eurotruss TD44 towers provide a versatile ground support solution for a wide range of applications. The TD44 tower system supports builds of up to 16 metres in height. Eurotruss TD44 is a 40cm aluminium square tower truss with black finish. The TD44-100 is the part number for the 1m length section. This forms part of the IPS hire range along with 0.25m to 3m truss lengths. TD44 uses a 3 mm wall thickness in the main tube to ensure durability and extra strength. Designed for high frequency usage or installations, which demands higher loading. Ideal trussing system for rental, touring and exhibition companies. IPS stock TD44 truss is all in a black finish.

The Eurotruss TD44 1m Black truss has the same excellent load capacity as the Eurotruss HD44 truss series. The TD44 truss series shares the same dimensions as the HD44 and now discontinued FD44 truss series. Note that the FD44 has a reduced 2mm wall thickness which has a lower rated loading than HD/TD44.

The TD name denotes a tower truss type. Eurotruss created the TD44 truss for use as a vertical tower element, adding an extra welded ‘climbing’ brace on one side. However, TD44 is also ideal for horizontal (or any other angle) orientation applications with free spans of 18m in length.

The TD44 uses Eurotruss CS1 conical couplers (known as eggs) to join sections. Conical couplers / eggs are fitted using tapered pins hammered into position and then secured with clips or bolts. As standard, all IPS hire stock TD44 truss lengths come fitted with one set of four conical couplers attached with bolted pins. IPS include one additional set of four CS1 Pins and four R Clips with the hire.

Eurotruss TD44 is a 40cm aluminium square tower truss with black finish. The TD44-200 is the part number for the 2m length section. This forms part of the IPS hire range along with 0.25m to 3m truss lengths. TD44 uses a 3 mm wall thickness in the main tube to ensure durability and extra strength. Designed for high frequency usage or installations, which demands higher loading. Ideal trussing system for rental, touring and exhibition companies. IPS stock TD44 truss is all in a black finish.

The TD44 truss has the same excellent load capacity as the Eurotruss HD44 truss series. It uses the same loading table which can be found here: https://www.eurotruss.com/product/hd44-square-truss/. The TD44 truss series shares the same dimensions as the HD44 and now discontinued FD44 truss series. Note that the FD44 has a reduced 2mm wall thickness which has a lower rated loading than HD/TD44.

The TD name denotes a tower truss type. Eurotruss created the TD44 truss for use as a vertical tower element, adding an extra welded ‘climbing’ brace on one side. However, TD44 is also ideal for horizontal (or any other angle) orientation applications with free spans of 18m in length.

Supplied ready to rig

The TD44 uses Eurotruss CS1 conical couplers (known as eggs) to join sections. Conical couplers / eggs are fitted using tapered pins hammered into position and then secured with clips or bolts. As standard, all IPS hire stock TD44 truss lengths come fitted with one set of four conical couplers attached with bolted pins. IPS include one additional set of four CS1 Pins and four R Clips with the hire. This allows attachment to the next truss section or accessory. Some hire companies aren’t as generous—they charge separately for couplers, pins, and clips. This also leaves you with extra assembly work onsite before you can use the trusses.

MD65 32a 3ph (to 2x16a 3ph) Motor Floor Distro

The MD65 32a 3ph Motor Floor Distro is a handy way of getting power to your hoists. Designed to power two LV control electric chain hoists. Just add pickles or your choice of motor controller, and you have a quick to connect power and control solution.

The MD65 is a compact unit compelete with a carry handle. Constructed from sturdy plastic, the casing and IP-rated connectors make this suitable for use in a range of settings. However it is not specifically rated for use really wet conditions.

Power inlet is via a 32A 3 phase CEE Form connector on a trailing lead. The motor power outlets are via two 16a 4pole CEE Form connectors. Circuit protection is provided by a 32A combined overall MCB/RCD, with a phase prescense monitoring relay to indicate correct phase sequencing. There are no other control/phase options on this unit.

The Prolyte H30D/30V Book Corner is a versatile item that can create a truss connection at almost any angle. IPS stocks book corners in a silver finish and configures them for Prolyte H30V (box/square) truss as standard. The Prolyte H30V 10m Truss Circle is currently the largest H30V truss circle available in our hire stock. With an external diameter of 10 metres, it creates an impressive visual impact at any event. Riggers sometimes refer to the S40T, which has an exterior dimension of 389mm x 389mm, as 40cm or 15‑inch truss. The S40T truss series has diagonal bracing on three sides, and horizontal ladder style bracing on the fourth. The IPS stock of this truss is in a natural aluminium / silver finish.

This listing is for a 3m section of S40T truss. The Prolyte product reference is S40T-L300 Truss. IPS have a range of other S40t lengths in hire stock including 0.5m, 0.65m and 2m sections. Each length is supplied with a set of four CCS6 conical couplers bolted into one end, and four loose CCS6 truss pins & clips. The S40T features 45 degree coupler orientation (meaning the pins go diagonally into each corner) so it is equally easy to assemble in any orientation.

S40T truss is most commonly used at IPS in tower configuration to create Prolyte ST Towers. These are self climbing towers typically configured with sleeve / carriage blocks for use with Prolyte S52SV truss sections. Standard applications include freestanding rigging towers and ground support truss structures, both usually in self-climbing configuration. The Prolyte S40T also features as the support truss for the IPS CLT XL outdoor roof system.

SRS 48 way LV Motor Control

This listing is for a 48 Way remote control handset for use with IPS SRS motor control racks. Using this SRS 48 way LV Motor Control, up to 48 motors / electric chain hoists can be controlled together. Or many more if the advanced features of the control system are used.

This controller is connected using a dedicated 20m 5pin 5core control cable that is supplied with each unit. Also provided with the IPS standard hire package is a 2m link cable. All housed in a briefcase style flight case.

The SRS model number for the remote is ADR48-DIGI-AHD-T19. This controller provides 48 physical switches for setting direction, as well as an E-Stop and the all-important “Go” button. Also on this controller is an LCD display with an encoder and selection buttons which can be used to set an address if required, as the SRS AHD Digital system is able to be configured to control up to 384 motors/hoists from one remote. Compatibility

The SRS LV Control System is suitable for all motors/ hoists that use a Low Voltage (LV) control system – such as the range of EXE Rise D8+ models in stock at IPS. They are also fully compatible with Low Voltage control models from manufacturers including Chainmaster/Movecat/Liftket/Tourrig, CM lodestar, GIS, LITEC, Prolyft, Verlinde/Stagemaker. Essentially any three-phase chain hoist on the market.

Please note this listing is just for the 48-way remote controller. To use this to control your motors, you will also need further SRS hardware. Simply add 2x SRS 24 Way Control Racks for the actual control hardware – or hire it all together as a 48 way LV Motor control system here. The data link cable is already included, but you may also need an additional PowerLock Link cable or supply depending on your power configuration.

IPS 24 channel low voltage control system. Based around the SRS Rigging AHD-LV motor controller, we have created a linkable 24 channel system. Built into a robust rolling rack flight case for easy onsite handling. The SRS 24ch LV Motor Controller contains power distribution and remote controllers in a single box solution. Designed for operating electric chain hoists using low voltage control.

Each rack is complete with two SRS AHD12-LV 12ch motor controllers and power distribution built in. A rack drawer houses the 24 channel remote control handset with a 20m control cable. Plus a data control link cable is included to join racks.

SRS 48ch LV Motor Controller

This listing is for two of our 24 channel low voltage control systems, and the large 48 channel remote control. This forms our SRS 48ch LV Motor Controller.

The system is based around the SRS Rigging AHD-LV motor controller. To reach to 48 ways, two 24 channel system racks would be linked with a single remote. The design of the system means that any motor can be run individually, or selectable groups can run simultaniously. This includes all 48 ways at once if required.

The system includes two racks and an addtioanl conroller. Each rack is complete with two SRS AHD12-LV 12ch motor controllers and power distribution built in. The system would also include two 24-channel remote control handsets with a 20m control cable in each rack if needed. All data control link cable is included to join racks (just not the power links – see note below).
