The d&b audiotechnik D80 Amplifier is ready to hire from IPS. The four channel D80 amplifier is a high power density amplifier in a 2U rackmount chassis. It contains configurations for almost all d&b loudspeakers and a linear mode. The signal delay capability enables user definable settings of up to 10 s (= 3440 m/11286 ft). This can be applied independently to each channel. The same applies to the two 16-band equalizers, providing optional parametric, asymmetric, shelving or notch filtering.

The D80 incorporates a colour TFT touchscreen. This offers quick access to the menu structure, while the rotary encoder can be used for fine adjustment. The front panel and touchscreen of the D80 amplifier is tilted up for ease of operation when the amplifier is below eye level. The equal ratio of signal input to amplifier output channels increases the application flexibility. This is particularly helpful for monitor, frontfill or effect channel use. The LoadMatch function integrated within the D80 amplifier enables the electrical compensation of loudspeaker cable properties, without the need for an extra conductor. This results in an increased accuracy of audio reproduction over a bandwidth of up to 20 kHz. This preserves the tonal balance when cable lengths of up to 70 m (230 ft) are used.

The D80 incorporates Class D amplifiers utilizing a power supply with active Power Factor Correction (PFC). It is suitable for mains voltages 100 V/120 V/200 V/230 V, 50 – 60 Hz. It maintains a stable output when used with weak or unstable mains supplies.

The D80 amplifier outputs are NL4 connectors plus one centered NL8 connector with all pins driven. RJ 45 and etherCON connectors enable access to the d and b Remote network via CAN-Bus and OCA/AES70 via Ethernet respectively.

The d&b D12 Amplifier is ready to hire from IPS. The two channel D12 amplifier is a 3U rackmouted unit. It delivers medium to high power into low impedance loads between 4 and 16 ohms.

The D12 contains setups for many older d&b loudspeakers and a linear mode. The signal delay capability enables user definable settings of up to 340 msec (=100 m/328.1 ft). This can be applied independently to each channel. The same applies to the 4-band parametric equalizer, providing optional boost/cut or notch filtering. The D12 incorporates a digital rotary encoder and a LCD display to configure the amplifier. Like all d&b amplifiers, the D12 utilizes an autosensing switch mode power supply for mains voltages.

The D12 amplifier incorporates d&b SenseDrive. This system delivers accurate control of LF drivers in d&b loudspeakers running in 2‑Way Active mode or in actively driven d&b subwoofers. When you fit the D12 with EP5 connectors and the appropriate five‑wire cabling, you can enable d&b SenseDrive. This produces extremely precise bass performance, even at high levels. Some IPS hire units use EP5 connections, while others use NL4. When we supply the EP5 option, we include NL4 adaptors with every hire.

RJ45 connectors provide access to the Remote network via CAN‑Bus. d&b System check verifies that the system performs within a predefined condition, while d&b Load monitoring delivers automatic, continuous impedance monitoring. Both functions identify the status of an LF or HF driver in systems with multiple elements, even when those elements have a passive crossover fitted.

The d&b audiotechnik D25 Amplifier is ready to hire from IPS. The four channel D25 amplifier provides power output optimised for smaller high-efficiency d&b mobile systems. It does this whilst offering the same full DSP feature set as the high-output amplifiers.

The D25 offers a maximum output power of 4x 1800/900 W into 4/8 Ω within a compact 2U rackmount chassis. The D25 has a dynamic range of 112 dB (unweighted) and incorporates comprehensive loudspeaker management, switchable filtering functions as well as user definable equalization and delay capabilities. Incorporating up to 16 input channels, the D25 accepts eight Milan audio inputs, four analogue inputs, and four AES3 channels.

The D25 uses a switch‑mode power supply with automatic mains‑range selection and active Power Factor Correction (PFC). This design draws clean current and delivers stable, efficient performance even under adverse mains conditions. The amplifier incorporates enhanced onboard energy‑saving features, including Automatic Wake Up, which helps you reduce resource consumption and meet environmental responsibility requirements. You can access the d&b Remote network via Ethernet using the Open Control Architecture protocol (AES70 / OCA). d&b LoadMatch enables the D25 amplifier to maintain tonal balance when you use cable lengths of up to 70 m (230 ft) with applicable d&b loudspeakers. The D25 is suitable to drive a wide range of d&b loudspeakers – and is especially well suited to the new U-Series. Also ready to hire from IPS, this includes the U3, U5 and U7 loudspeakers.

The d&b DS10 Audio network bridge interfaces between Dante networks and AES3 digital audio signals. It does this while also providing distribution of Ethernet control data.

Usually found either within d&b amp racks or at FOH, the DS10 is a great solution to digitally distribute system input channels. Until recently, the DS10 was only fitted in IPS D80 Tour Racks. However with increasingly complex system depolyments, we have now made this avaliable as a seperate item. This means it can also be included with D20 Tour Racks.  It can also be used as a standalone device. Everything can be configured depending on your system design.

Each unit can deliver up to sixteen Dante network channels via AES3 digital signal outputs. The 2 RU D20 amplifier delivers four channels and suits applications that require low to medium SPL capability. It uses the same Digital Signal Processing platform as the latest generation of d&b amplifiers.

An NL8 connector provides all outputs on a single multicore connection. Dual‑channel mode uses four individual NL4 connectors, while Mix TOP/SUB and 2‑Way Active configurations for applicable d&b loudspeakers are available through two central NL4 connectors. etherCON and RJ45 connectors provide access to the d&b Remote network via OCA/AES70 over Ethernet and CAN‑Bus respectively. d&b D20 Dual Rack

Two d&b audiotechnik D20 amplifiers in a wheeled rack case. The front of the rack provides access to the amp controls, and is fitted with a 16A single phase power inlet. The front panel also contains a patch bay with individual XLR inputs for each channel of both amps, and a link out. XLR links are supplied to connect inputs 1-4 of both amplifiers in parallel – however these can easily be changed if neeed.

The rear of the rack houses the output panel. This contains various speaker output options as follows:

• 4x direct outputs for each amplifier on NL4 connectors (8 in total)
• 1x NL8 output for each amplifier (2 in total, four channels per output)
• 1x Socapex output. The socapex is wired in an eight way configuration which matches our IPS Socapex to 4x NL4 output adaptors. This provides 4x NL4 outputs, each wired with two channels via the 1+/1- and 2+/2- connections. You may also need NL4 barrel joiners and  NL4 to NL2 breakout adaptors to connect to individual speaker cabinets. You can easily extend these cables with any of our 2.5mm multicore socapex cabling.

Designed as a fully equipped and prewired system rack, the d&b D20 Touring Amplifier Rack provides mains power distribution, connector interfaces and all internal cabling for three D20 amplifiers. Power connection: The IPS D20 Touring rack has a 32A 3Phase CEE mains power inlet on a short lead. It has a 32A 3Phase mains link outlet on the rear of the panel.

Speaker connection: The IPS D20 Tour Rack has a front mounted loudspeaker connector panel. This includes three NL8 (4 channel) Electrically interlocked auxiliary mains outputs (powerCON 16A sockets) are provided to power an optional DS10 if fitted. If you need NL4 connectors, you can also connect directly to the rear of each amplifier. This is via the rear door of the rack. Each D20 has 6x NL4 output connectors on the rear panel.
