Yamaha describe the Rio Series as follows. Rio Series I/O racks employ Dante network audio protocol for exceptional flexibility and freedom in setup and placement, while delivering natural, musical sound that brings out the full sonic potential of mixing consoles and other system components. They also allow redundancy for the utmost reliability in any application. You can find the full detailed specifications for all of the Rio range here on the Yamaha website.

IPS have a range of digital audio control solutions in hire stock from Yamaha. Another popular choice is the 32 channel version of this stagebox, the Rio3208. This is available to hire as part of our digital stagebox system which includes two Rio3208 racks as well as onboard data and power distribution.

This listing is for the hire of a Yamaha 64ch Rio Stage Rack. This wheeled rack holds two Yamaha Rio3224‑D2 digital stage boxes. It also includes a Yamaha network switch, a UPS and custom panel work. It integrates seamlessly with our Yamaha CL5 digital desk. The cabling works with the CL5 Console Rack and the 100m FOH multicore system. The front of the rack presents the two Rio units. Brush plates feed breakout patch cables to the rear VDM connectors. The rack also provides controls for the LED case lighting system.

The rear of the rack exposes the front of the Yamaha network switch. We set this up to provide an easy way to connect a primary and secondary Dante connection. A 48‑way and 12‑way VDM connector carry the main audio connection. This is designed to link directly with our 60‑channel Audio Split Rack. The rack also includes a 2U 12‑way VDM patch panel with 12 sets of male and female XLR connectors, plus VDM in and out connections for auxiliary patching as required.

Officially listed as ‘Yamaha CL5 64 Channel Rio Stage Rack 32a I/O’ the rear panel includes the 32A single phase CEEform power inlet. It also features a 32A single phase link outlet, as well as a 16a single phase UPS protected outlet and two handy 13A socket outlets.

Dante Audio Network Switch

The Yamaha Dante 5x Primary & 5x Secondary Switch Rack 2U is a 2U rack sleeve which contains 2x Yamaha SWR2100P-5G network switches and a connection panel. Quick and easy to deploy, these compact racks offer a plug and play network connection solution for digital audio networks.

Designed for use with IPS Dante network audio systems. The rack is labelled and configured to provide 5x Primary and 5x Secondary network ports via RJ45 etherCON connectors. As there are two physical hardware switches within the rack, a high level of redundancy is offered by this setup.

Dante is a network protocol supported by many different audio and AV manufacturers. It is a true IP based protocol so can co-exist on a shared network infrastructure. This could be either within a managed corporate installation, or within a show control network system also containing lighting and other control traffic.  It is designed to enable uncompressed low-latency multi-channel digital audio over a standard ethernet network using layer 3 IP packets. There is more detail about the protocol, including an online training scheme, on the Audinate website here: https://www.audinate.com/.

Ready to hire now from IPS alongside a full range of Dante enabled audio hardware. The Yamaha Dante 5 port Switch Rack is ideal for use alongside our Yamaha CL5 Digital Mixing Desk with desk rack, and supporting Rio Stagebox Racks which also feature Yamaha switching hardware.

The emphasis with the Soundcraft EPM is very firmly on quality build and audio performance, with an easy to understand control surface uncluttered by unnecessary facilities, and Soundcraft have brought new technologies and ideas to this very cost-effective range. Surface mount technology is used throughout, using close-tolerance components for high accuracy and repeatable settings for EQ and gain controls. The highly-transparent GB30 Mic amp (designed by Graham Blyth for the company 19s 30th anniversary, and also used on the larger LX7ii and GB Series consoles) features high-resolution adjustment over a wide gain range of 55dB, and provides a stunning +22dB headroom through the console. True professional 48-volt phantom power caters for condenser microphones of all types.

A unique feature of the signal monitoring is the PEAK led. This uses multipoint signal take-offs to watch for overload in several parts of the channel strip, and the led lights more brightly as the signal approaches the peak point. For smooth and accurate channel control, the EPM has 60mm high quality faders as used on other Soundcraft desks. The monitor output and headphone output work in parallel so that performers can still listen on phones while an engineer is listening on studio monitors.
