Doughty T54265 3 Position Tank Trap
Building on the classic tank trap design, this three position version from Doughty provides many more options. A steel multipurpose floor plate to suit 48mm barrel and truss. Fitted with a removable receiver which may be bolted in three different locations. The key feature of this model is that the receiver may be mounted in the centre, at the edge or in the corner of the plate.
Constructed from a 600mm square mild steel plate with a 48mm receiver welded to it. The receiver is 302mm long with two wingnuts to secure the supported pole. Adding the 5mm plate thickness, the top of this receiver is 307mm from the ground (just a tiny bit taller than the standard base plate). There is a handle cut out for easier carrying each plate – each of which weights 18.5kg. IPS also stock the doughty a wheeled trolley system for storing and transporting the three posision tank trape. The receiver detatches from the plate when stored in the trolley for compact packing.
Supplied by IPS in a Black painted finish. The 3 position tank trap is also sometimes known as a boom base. With the receiver removed the plate can be inverted and used as a truss base plate. Please note that the IPS hire version does not include truss connectors or fixings to mount truss to the plate.
