20kg Stage Weight Hire

The 20kg Hand / Stage Weight is a structure building essential. They find many uses within an event and live production environment. We have well over 1000 of these in stock at IPS. Several design variations are held within our hire stock. This means the exact dimensions of each weight may be slightly different. All types feature a large handle which is ideal for carrying the weight, and as an attachment or strapping point.

Not to be confused with the classic square 12.5kg stage weight – although we do hire these too, check out the listing here. This 20kg version is also known as a hand weight, and calibrated versions are also available which are widely used as test weights.

We usually dispatch hires with multiple 20kg weights on pallets. These can then be moved in bulk using a standard pallet truck (or forklift if available).

More Ballast Options

IPS also stock a range of other ballast options. If you have mechanical handling equipment onsite, then our range of concrete blocks are quick and easy to deploy. For outside projects, we also have water tanks and ground anchors ready to hire. However, when pallet trucks or manual handling is the only option, 20kg stage weights are a versatile solution. The steel construction provides a good size to weight ratio, and multiples of 20 are easy to count in your head!

500kg Concrete Block TypeB

IPS have a range of ballast ready to hire, including this TypeB 500kg Concrete Ballast Block. Named Type B, this block features a sloped edge profile (also sometimes called a marquee style block). This block is fitted with a screw in lifting eye fitting in a recessed moulding at the top, and a shaped base to allow handling by forklift.

The exterior dimensions of the IPS Type B ballast block are 1000mm x 550mm x 450mm.
