This particular version has solid aluminium profile sides rather than the conventional lattice type finish. The 4ft x 3ft 6in LiteDeck is one of the more unique panel in our LiteDeck range. This unusual size aligns and bolts with all standard LiteDeck modules along the 4ft edge, but the 3ft 6in edge is more for specific applications where a 4ft by 4ft is too big and a 4ft by 3ft is too small!

The metric conversion for this deck is approximately 1219mm by 1066mm.

The plywood top comes with a black painted finish. The LiteDeck staging system supports a structural weight loading of 5kN/m².

M10 bolt sets secure the decks together. IPS supplies four bolt sets with each 4ft x 3ft 6in LiteDeck module hired. Each LiteDeck accepts aluminium scaffold tube stage legs, and each 4ft x 3ft 6in deck requires four legs.

Modular Staging System

The LiteDeck system offers a wide range of standard panel sizes, and users can combine these panels to create almost any stage layout. IPS stocks rectangular, square, triangular, and circular modules, enabling both simple risers and complex multi‑level structures. Crews can construct a huge variety of structures using LiteDeck modules. IPS has worked with LiteDeck for many years and continues to develop new ways to use the system.

Steps and handrails integrate cleanly with the system. IPS also supplies a broad selection of staging accessories, including wheels, ramp components, and various fittings that allow crews to level platforms on uneven ground or interconnect them at different heights.

Introducing the 8ft x 4ft LiteDeck Mesh Deck – and IPS custom GRP Mesh topped LiteDeck module.

Appearance & Applications

Each 8ft x 4ft LiteDeck Mesh Deck is fitted with a Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) top to create a mesh finish. The mesh allows creative lighting options, dramatic fog / smoke effects and much more. The mesh is formed of 38mm square sections, offering more than 60% transparency to the panel. The support framework of deck is visible through the mesh, which divides the 8ft by 4ft surface into eight 2ft by 2ft squares. The GRP has a smart matt grey appearance and offers an aggressively anti-slip finish. The IPS 8ft x 4ft LiteDeck MeshDeck maintains all the weight loading specifications of the standard deck.

Integration

The 8ft x 4ft LiteDeck MeshDeck is 7mm taller than a standard LiteDeck module. This is because the usual 18mm thick plywood top is changed for the 25mm thick GRP mesh panel. If your platform design only uses MeshDeck, then everything will line up. If you are connecting MeshDeck to standard LiteDeck, you will need to allow for the height difference. When using standard legs on both deck types, the frames will align to allow bolting together, but the MeshDeck top surface will be 7mm proud of the LiteDeck top surface.
