EXE Rise D8+ 1000kg 25m Height of Lift (HOL) Motor with Low Voltage (LV) control

The EXE Rise D8+ 1000kg Motor / chain hoist is ready to hire now from IPS.  Electric Chain Hoists (or ‘Motors’ as they are also commonly known) are an ideal choice for event rigging. Hirers can use these three-phase powered models on their own via a 1-way controller (or pickle) or in multi-hoist configurations. Featuring low voltage control (LV) these motors are widely compatible with a range of control systems. Double braked, and compliant with D8+ standards, these hoists meet all rider specification criteria for event and entertainment projects.

The EXE Rise range is made from extremely light cast aluminium. This one ton model has a compact body size – officially named ‘Medium Frame’ in EXE terminology.  The IPS hire stock versions tip the scales at 83.5kg including the chain. Speaking of chains, the IPS hire stock 1000kg EXE Rise motors feature a useful 25m Height of Lift. This makes these work well in most venues as a straight drop – and comfortably work in a motor down configuration for a ground support for towers up to 12m tall.

Designed for smooth operation, the EXE Rise electric chain hoist operates at a fixed speed of 4 metres per minute. Comparatively quiet in operation, these motors are ideal for soundstages, nightclubs, exhibition halls, concert halls, amphitheatres, and all kinds of indoor or outdoor venues. Supplied ready to rig with the chain run out, each motor has up-to-date LOLER and electrical test certificates available for the hire duration.

Martin MAC Viper XIP Hire

Now LED powered and IP rated – the new Martin MAC Viper XIP is ready to hire from IPS. This new fixture represents an LED source IP-rated version of the classic Viper fixture family. The XIP improves on all the best attributes of all the previous versions. It has quickly established itself as a go to fixture for indoor and outdoor applications.

Ticking all the key features boxes when looking for a profile fixture, the impressive 5.7 to 54 degree zoom range of the Viper XIP also place it firmly in the hybrid range. Colour reproduction from the 760W LED enging includes full CMY mixing plus CCT and fixed colours. With a punchy 28k lumen output, beam control is via frost, prism, iris and zoom as well as framing shutters. Two rotating gobo wheels and an annimation wheel can create all kinds of shapes and textures. These feaures mean the XIP works well in a range of settings and applications.

As you’d expect there is DMX control via 5pin XLR. Plus direct input options for Art-Net and sACN via RJ45 etherCON connections. Martin P3 support also enables full integration into complex mapping projects, unlocking all kinds of mapping and video overlay options
