Video Open Day Update 01Our successful video Open Days in February showcased some of the exciting additions to the IPS video hire stock.

There have been lots of new products added to our hire range over the last few months, and the Open Days saw a steady stream of visitors experiencing some of these items. Thank you to everyone who managed to pop in – and for anyone else who is interested, featured equipment included:

LED Screens – There were three screen options on display, the new Prolights 2.9mm Apix2 LED Screen, the Chauvet 5.2mm PVP S5 LED Screen and the Chauvet 6.9mm PVP X6IP Outdoor LED Screen. Lots of people asked about pricing, so to give an example, the demonstration screens each measured 4.5m wide by 2.5m high, and excluding the rigging, the dry hire cost would be £2650 plus VAT for the 2.9mm or £2300 plus VAT for either of the Chauvet options. The screens were rigged on either a Black Prolyte H30V based ground support truss goalpost, with the Outdoor screen rigged on a Prolyte self-climbing truss system with full wind calculations for outdoor events – get in touch to discuss size and rigging options.

Video Open Day Update 02Projection – The 12,000 Lumen Full HD Christie Laser projector was on display, projecting onto one of our range of screen surfaces. The available hire range of 16:9 ratio screens is constantly growing, alongside our existing 4:3 ratio sizes. Other projection options also include 7000 Lumen Panasonic projectors, as well as 5000 lumen Panasonic desktop units.

Samsung LED Screens – 32" / 48" / 55" / 65" Screens were on display, all on Unicol Parabella stands. These are soon to be joined by an 82" screen option in the same range – watch this space for further details. With a range of rigging options and inputs, all these screens are professional models designed for continuous operation and have built in USB media players with scheduling software.

Video Open Day Update 03 - 2 9mmLighting & Sound – Also helping create the atmosphere were various Martin Professional & SGM intelligent fixtures including the MAC Viper range, and New LED powered MAC Quantum along with SGM IP rated Flood & Strobe units. LED mapped Chauvet Epix strips and Martin VDO Sceptron 10 strips were mounted on a white scenic panel, and there were also the new Prolights IP rated LED COB par fixtures. Haze was provided by the new MDG ATMe machine with produces a super fine haze ideal for enhancing lighting with a barely visible mist. Background music was provided via a d&b Y7P PA system, run from a Yamaha TF1 digital mixing desk.

There will be more items added over the coming months, but if you have any projects coming up that have a video element – or any other Staging, Rigging, Lighting, Sound or Power requirements, please do get in touch.
